A Review of the Stroke Stage and Outcome Measures in Stroke Motor Sequelae Clinical Studies in Korea

Objectives: The aims of this study were to evaluate the fidelity stroke stage reporting, timeliness outcome measures, and use core set.Methods: We searched literature using 6 domestic databases. selected studies that used Korean medicine interventions targeted patients with motor sequelae. examined whether included reported they measures in appropriate period based on recommendations “Stroke Evidence Database Guide Effectiveness". also confirmed essential assessment tools suggested by set.Results: Overall, 77 finally selected, 16 (21%), 55 (71%), (8%) published acute, subacute, chronic phases, respectively. Only 11 directly mentioned stage. most commonly assessments National Institutes Health Stroke Scale, Modified Barthel Index, Manual Muscle Testing. 5 failed apply stage-related at recommended period. variables inadequately Functional Ambulation Categories, 36-Item Short Form Survey, Mini-Mental State Examination. Among set items, some liver renal function tests, but no herbal safety reporting was conducted.Conclusions: In future studies, we propose ensure accurate reliable deliver better clinical research outcomes. Furthermore, stroke, a standard protocol reflects should be developed.
